Careers Advice and Guidance

As a student of MCET you are entitled to the full support of the College’s Careers Advice and Guidance Service. This applies to every student of the college.

We provide an impartial, confidential advice and guidance service to prospective, current and previous students of MCET.

Student Welfare Officer in both campuses is here to help you:

  • Explore your individual progression opportunities
  • Help with choosing the right course
  • Help you in planning your career
  • Help you prepare for the interview
  • Support with CV, applications and job hunting
  • Support your UCAS application and progression to Higher Education.
  • Access additional support if you have a disability, learning difficulty or language need

Progression Package

The aim of our Progression Packages is to encourage our students, who have completed courses with us to consider a college route into Further and Higher Education to gain an insight into college and the courses we have on offer. We can help you if you are:

  • Thinking of continuing or returning to study.
  • Wanting to gain extra qualifications.
  • Worried about choosing the right course.
  • Concerned about how much a course might cost.

The Progression Package is coordinated by the Admissions Committee Team. If you are interested, you can contact the Academic Officer.

Open Days

Choosing the right course can be a complex business. That’s why at our Open Days you can:

Find out about different ways of studying.

Have a campus tour and visit the College.

Make a date to visit MCET Open Day where you can talk to our tutors, meet our students, tour our campus and receive information and advice about studying career focused courses.

Our Open Days are held at our Campus between 12pm and 5pm.
